| Description |
This dataset contains information on the epigraphy associated with the construction process analysed by the building project. The data is derived from a systematic review of the specialist literature, within the temporal and chronological scope of the project. The core database of the Petrifying Wealth project is freely accessible via a search form (http://www.petrifyingwealth.cchs.csic.es/spatial/consulta_bd.html). As regards the epigraphy, its location can be viewed publicly via the project’s map viewer (http://www.petrifyingwealth.cchs.csic.es/spatial/petri_spatial.html). For each of the inscriptions published, the following information is provided: INSCRIPTIONS (19): 1.id_epigrafe: Unique identifier of the inscription. 2.nombre_epigrafia: Name given to the inscription for identification purposes. 3. object: the object on which the inscription is carved. 4. material: type of stone material on which the inscription is carved. 5. Text: the literal text of the inscription. 6. mention_id_ca: identifier of the building mentioned in the heading. This allows the record to be linked to the project’s data core. 7. mention_ca_name: name of the building. 8. mention_location_name: settlement. 9. mention_municipal_area: administrative division, identifiable by NUTS-4 (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/nuts/background). 10. province_code: Administrative division, identified by NUT-3 (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/nuts/background). 11. country_code: Administrative division, national boundary. 12. building_id: Identifier of the building where the entry is located. This allows the record to be linked to the project’s data core. 13. location_ca_name: name of the building. 14. location_location_name: Settlement. 15. location_municipal_area: Administrative division, identificable con NUTS-4 (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/nuts/background). 16. location_province: Administrative division, identified by NUT-3 (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/nuts/background). 17. location_country: Administrative division, national boundary. 18. Latitude: geographical coordinate, data relating to the building where the inscription is located. 19. Longitude: geographical coordinate, data relating to the building where the inscription is located. InscriptionPerson (5): 1. id_epigrafia_personaje: unique identifier in the table. 2. id_epigrafia: identifier of the inscription. 3. Role: the role played by the character in the text of the epigraph. 4. name_cited: the name of the character mentioned in the epigraph. 5. Function: the character’s position or social status at the time they are mentioned in the epigraph. EpigraphTypology (3): 1. epigraph_typology_id: unique identifier for the table. 2. id_epigrafia: identifier of the epigraph. 3. Epigraph Type: type of epigraph, selected from the values in a standardised list generated specifically for this purpose. EpigraphDate (7): 1. id_epigrafia_fecha: unique identifier in the table. 2. id_epigrafia: identifier of the epigraph. 3. Century: the century mentioned in the text of the inscription. 4. Anno: the year given in the text of the epigraph. 5. anno_fin: if the date given in the text of the epigraph is a period, the end of that period is indicated here. 6. Month: the month given in the text of the epigraph. 7. Day: the day given in the text of the epigraph. |
