Dataset derived from the ORCID public snapshot (September 2023) and OpenAlex snapshot (April 2024) to study ORCID adoption, profile activity and metadata presence among researchers associated with Spain. It contains profile-level indicators, employment-affiliation histories, an OpenAlex table of Spanish authors and a publication-to-topic hierarchy map. Records were retrieved through ORCID affiliation/country metadata and last known Spanish affiliation in OpenAlex, then merged, deduplicated and classified. |
